Opportune, the energy advisory firm said its subsidiary Ralph E. Davis Associates (RED) has hired Steve Hendrickson as its new president.
Hendrickson has over 30 years of professional leadership experience in the energy industry and has led billions of dollars of technical evaluations and oil and gas transactions.

Steve’s deep professional expertise in reservoir and reserves engineering, technical evaluations and transactional advisory will add tremendous value for our clients in his new leadership role with us,” said Carl Wimberley, Opportune’s partner in charge of upstream services.
Previously, Hendrickson was principal of Hendrickson Engineering LLC. In this role, he led and provided technical field studies, asset appraisals, reserves reporting and advisory related to acquisitions and divestitures.

Hendrickson is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Texas and holds an M.S. in Finance from the University of Houston and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. He currently serves as a Director of the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers.
