Flowline specialists completes Middle East subsea project

International energy industry manufacturer and service provider Flowline Specialists said it recently completed work on a major subsea umbilical, riser and flexible (SURF) lay project in the Middle East.

Based in Jebel Ali, Dubai, Flowline Specialists FZE designs, engineers and manufactures a wide range of equipment for the global oil, gas, subsea and renewable industries. A subsidiary of Scottish company Flowline Specialists, all of its equipment is road mobile and ferry compatible for rapid deployment throughout the Middle East and internationally. Flowline Specialists was established in 2001, and employs over 50 staff across its international operations in the UAE, Scotland and the Netherlands.

The Dubai-based firm, which designs, engineers and manufactures a range of cable handling and deployment equipment, was contracted to assist in laying various flexible flowlines, umbilical and cables from reels of varying size and weight. Graeme Chalmers, group operations manager said: “Flowline Specialists FZE is very proud to have been involved in this major subsea project.
