Kerui signs land rigs deal with Kuwaiti group

China's Kerui Petroleum said it signed a US$55 million contract with Kuwait’s Bahman group for four land drilling rigs.

Since July 2018, Kerui Petroleum has obtained more than $200 million orders for supplying drilling rigs worldwide, including Kuwait drilling rig projects, the company said. The new contract was signed with Bahman General Trading and Contracting Co. 

“These drilling rigs projects in the Middle East including 3000HP deep drilling rigs, fast moving drilling rigs and workover rigs, all of which are fully customised in strictly accordance with clients’ requirements, which integrate the local environment conditions of Middle East and customers’ operating habits, as well as equipment intelligent innovation to minimise the costs and maximise the benefits for our esteemed customers” said Andrew Wang, general manager of KERUI Petroleum Middle East.

“One month, $200 million orders, 11 sets of drilling rigs, it’s a magnificent achievement as keeping the principles of customer-oriented and quality-focused to develop markets” said Wei Song, Executive President of KERUI Petroleum Drilling & Stimulation Equipment Group. “And we are confident of obtaining and delivering more and more high-quality projects”
