Swiss contractor Allseas subsidiary, Excalibur, has been awarded a contract by Aker BP to carry out removal and disposal of infrastructure on the Valhall field off Norway.

The newly awarded long term frame agreement for Transport, Installation and Removal (T,I&R) services  is for 6 years plus two extension options of two years each.

The deal is for the removal of the Valhall QP topsides and QP/DP bridge in 2019 and disposal thereafter. In addition, options have been agreed for removal and disposal of the QP and 2/4G jackets in the future.

Last month Heerema was awarded a long term T&I frame agreement and call off for Valhall Flank West (VFW) installation.
