GE Water & Process Technologies today introduced a new reverse osmosis (RO) system for a broad range of applications including refi ning and petrochemical industries.

GE’s new PROfl ex RO was redesigned to incorporate years of customer feedback to provide a cost-effective, easy-to-configure system that offers many frequently requested options. The new PROfl ex is GE’s most fl exible RO system yet, offering up to a 30 per cent capital cost savings compared to PRO RO systems.

It is configurable using GE’s new online product configurator. It allows customers to select the exact fl ow rate required by the application from a range of PROfl ex ROs that fi t the application. Additionally, the most frequently requested modifications over the past years are all available now as pre-priced options. GE has minimised the overall footprint to take up less space and moved key components to the front of the RO for more accessibility.

“Our customers told us we needed to be more competitively priced and flexible in our RO product offering. The new PROfl ex RO system provides those benefi ts and more,” said Kevin Cassidy, global leader, engineered systems— GE’s Water & Process Technologies.

The PROfl ex RO system now is commercially available and is manufactured at Water & Process Technologies’ Minnetonka, Minnesota, facility. The plant produces filters, spiral wound membrane elements and equipment across the spectrum of membranes including RO, nanofiltration, ultrafiltration and microfiltration for global water treatment and reuse.
