Italian oil and gas company Eni has announced that it has re-appointed Claudio Descalzi for another term as chief executive officer and general manager.
Descalzi has been Eni’s CEO since May 2014.
In a statement, Eni said that the board also hired Lucia Calvosa as the new Chairwoman, replacing Emma Marcegaglia who had served as the Eni Chairman since 2014.
According to Eni, the Chairwoman will carry out her statutory functions as legal representative managing, in particular, institutional relationships in Italy, together with the CEO. The Board also delegated to the Chairwoman powers to identify and promote integrated projects and international agreements with strategic importance together with the CEO.
