Gazprom appoints new head of department

Sergey Skrynnikov was appointed as head of department 338 at Gazprom, the company said. He has been at Gazprom for 21 years, rising through the ranks. He began his career at Gazprom as Gas Compressor operator to chief engineer and deputy head of the Kanchurinskaya Underground Gas Storage Station at Gazprom Transgaz Ufa.
He was the lead engineer, head of Compressor Station Operation Division at Gazprom Transgaz Ufa from 2005-2013 and the deputy director general for repairs and capital construction for a short time before being appointed as the deputy director general for production at Gazprom Transgaz Ufa until 2013. His new appointed comes after serving a year as the deputy head of the department 308, Gazprom said.
Skrynnikov graduated from the Ural State Academy of Mining and Geology, majoring in Mining Machinery and Equipment. He has an MBA degree.
