Norway's Equinor has signed two strategic collaboration agreements with service providers Aker Solutions and TechinpFMC to help develop Equinor’s offshore projects globally and improve its subsea projects.
The deal with TechnipFMC covers the full scope of TechnipFMC products and services, from early phase, through project execution, including installation and subsea operations services. It reflects the ambition of the parties to engage early through pre-FEED and Concept development in order to obtain sustainable cost reductions.
Doug Pferdehirt, CEO of TechnipFMC, commented: “We are extremely honored to extend our partnership with Equinor globally while enabling a new way of working together, from early engagement through integrated project execution – leveraging next generation technology and digitalization. We firmly believe that success is achieved through collaboration and that this agreement will increase the competitiveness of both companies.”
The Aker Solutions global agreement will ensure mutual and continuous improvement on current and future subsea projects within the domains of safety, quality, technology, execution and cost.
"Aker Solutions and Equinor's ongoing collaboration has consistently generated mutually beneficial technology developments, working process simplifications and standardisations," says Luis Araujo, chief executive officer at Aker Solutions. "This agreement formalises the companies' joint ambitions of achieving efficiency and improvement goals."
